‘Finding Your Pearl At OysterFest At Reading Terminal Market!’
Make your stomach purr while tasting yummy oysters at Reading Terminal Market’s OysterFest on Friday, November 15 from 7 pm to 9 pm!
Guests can spend $55 for an all-you-can-eat and drink at this special fundraising event.
Pearl’s Oyster Bar and Molly Malloy’s will pair the 12 oysters with 12 beers – almost all local – curated and poured by Market bar Molly Malloy’s.
Enjoy every style of beer at OysterFest that pairs well with raw oysters that will include sours, ambers, lagers, pilsners, India pale ales and even stouts (in the form of a black and tan). Brands include Yuengling, Yards, Straub’s, Philadelphia Brewing Company, Neshaminy Creek, Dogfish Head, Flying Fish and Evil Genius.
Oysters will include local Cape Shore Salt oysters, Cape May Salt oysters, Sweet Amalia oysters, and Forty North oysters.

Philadelphia was once the oyster capital of America. In the late 19th century, the Delaware Bay’s 2 million-bushel annual haul were served up by almost every Philadelphia bar, restaurant and street vendor, in addition to 379 dedicated oyster houses. The discarded shells paved the streets, formed makeshift wharves and served as ship ballast.
The net proceeds from OysterFest will benefit Reading Terminal Market’s programming for the Strawberry Mansion Learning Center and the Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia.
