Become mesmerized at the size and beauty of these historic ships at the Sail Philadelphia Festival at Penn’s Landing May 24 to 28!

This five-day festival will celebrate tall ships, Philadelphia’s maritime history and sailing ships.

The festival kicks-off on Thursday, May 24, with the parade of sail. Festivalgoers will be able to witness the large ships parade down the Delaware River, coming from all parts of the globe, as they enter docks at Penn’s Landing. The ships will arrive between 3 pm to 5 pm (subject to change). This is free and open to the public. Those guests who want to be on the water while the ships arrive, a three-hour Parade of Sail cruise is available and the cost is $150. ~ Get Tickets ~

Eleven tall ships will dock at Penn’s Landing, where visitors will be able to enjoy ship tours, sailing excursions, live entertainment, food, three different beer gardens, movie screenings at the Independence Seaport Museum, and much more.

Ships Tours & Cruises

Visitors can enjoy self-guided ship tours run daily for those with timed-tour tickets. You’ll explore the craftsmanship of the historic vessels and learn more about how they operate.

Visitors can take scenic Sail Away Cruises during the daytime (90 minutes) or twilight (120 minutes, with complimentary wine and bites!).

Ticket Options (ranging $7 – $150)

Festival-only tickets: Guests will be able to see the ships from land while enjoying festival and waterfront programming starting at 11 am until the festival closes at 7 pm. Single-day tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, military and children ages three to 12 and free for children under two.

Ship tour tickets: Guests can hop aboard one or more of the docked tall ships to take self-guided tours in addition to same-day festival admission. Cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and military, $7 for children ages three to 12 and free for children under two. Tours start at noon and end at 7 pm.

Early entry tickets: Guests who want to beat the crowds and tour the ships from 11 am until noon. Cost is $65 for adults, $55 for seniors and military, $50 for children ages three to 12 and free for children under two.

Sail-away cruise tickets: Guests can enjoy a day or twilight sailing excursion on one of five tall ships along with same-day festival admission. Ninety-minute day sail tickets cost $90 per person and 120-minute twilight sail tickets cost $125 per person.

For $150 per person, guests can sail out on the water for a three-hour cruise during the Parade of Sail to see stunning views of the tall ships as they arrive. ~ Get Tickets ~
