Smokin Betty’s, a semi-spacious restaurant and bar that opened on June 15, 2009, is located near Thomas Jefferson University and several blocks from the Avenue of the Arts. This establishment brings you a mixture of American comfort foods, barbecue foods, and a decent selection of burgers.

Smokin Betty’s Experience & Atmosphere

When walking into Smokin Betty’s, you have the choice of staying on the first floor or going upstairs to the second floor, when opened. Since this establishment is spacious, it can be a great place for large groups or parties.

Known for their burgers and ribs, the primary options on Smokin’ Betty’s menu are barbeque dishes.  Roasted Chicken, St. Louis Ribs, Hickory Smoked St. Louis Ribs, Pulled Caribbean Chicken, Pulled Pork Sandwich and much more.

Two burger favorites are the Betty Burger and the Tur-Duck-En. The decadent Betty Burger starts with a half pound sirloin patty and is topped with avocado, pork belly, cheddar, roasted garlic aioli and fried egg. The Tur-Duck-En Burger is a take on everyone’s Thanksgiving dinner favorites—turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce—and put into an amazing burger that also made with duck.

Looking for a delicious brunch. Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 3pm.  Popular dishes include Eggs Benedict, Country Gravy & Biscuits and House Smoked Salmon & Sweet Potato Hash. Brunch lovers can also enjoy their famous grilled wings and popular sides, like cornbread muffins and buttermilk biscuits. Oh, and let’s not forget the drinks!

Feeling thirsty. Smokin Betty’s features 16 rotating craft draft beers every day, featuring some of the best brews available both locally and nationally. They also offer a full daily menu of hand-crafted cocktails. Two favorites are the Gin-ger Appletini (Gilby’s gin, apple juice, ginger beer and cinnamon apples) and Bulleitproof (Bulleit bourbon, cherry chutney, ginger ale).  The daily menu also includes seasonal sangria that’s not to be missed.
