  • The Midway at Blue Cross RiverRink ~ June 23 – September 4 ~ Grand Opening Weekend! Held at the Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest, guests will enjoy boardwalk-inspired games, a full-size carousel, and a specific marquee ride. Throughout the summer, the marquee ride will be rotated between a 60 ft Ferris Wheel, the Pharoah’s Fury swinging boat ride, and the Typhoon Magic Carpet ride.   • Art After 5 ~ June 23 Free with admission, from 5 pm to 8:45 pm. ~ Peter Beets – From his riffs on Latin jazz to his timeless arrangements of classical music, this award-winning Dutch pianist’s signature buoyancy and sophistication are audible in everything he plays. Beets returns to Philadelphia for an evening with local jazz giants, including Larry McKenna on tenor sax. Held at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the Great Stair Hall. Art After 5 ~

The program will include 25 + restaurants and bars, taking place every Thursday night from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. until August 31.   • 40th Street Summer Series ~ July 22 ~ FREE – Held at 40th & Walnut Streets from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. 40th Street Summer Series is a free outdoor music series in University City that is family-friendly. Not only will there be the eclectic sounds of jazz, funk, Balkan brass and much more, but many activities and entertainment for both kids and adults such as jugglers, face painting, balloon art, fire artists and more. Each concert is scheduled on a Saturday starting at 6 pm. ~ 40th Street Summer Series ~
