AKI Japanese Restaurant – Sushi Restaurants in Philadelphia
Are you looking for a Sushi restaurant in Center City, Philadelphia? I enjoyed trying the AKI Japanese Fusion Restaurant and Sake Bar with a friend for lunch last week. Considering that it was 12:15 p.m. when we walked in, we were pleasantly greeted and seated at our table. At the time of our seated, three other tables were occupied. When we left around 1:30 p.m., most of the restaurant was full of customers.
I found AKI to be cute and comfortable for almost any setting, whether a get-together with a friend, a date, a business meeting, or even a large gathering of friends. I had the Sushi lunch special with five pieces of sushi (your basic types), an eight-piece California roll, and my choice of Miso soup or salad. I had the salad with their special house sauce, which was very tasteful. I even substituted their California roll with a Crunchy Spicy Tuna roll. I was very impressed with their Crunchy Spicy Tuna roll, not only because it had an excellent taste but because it held together very well. I have been to several Sushi Restaurants where the rolls would break apart. My friend had the Tuna Avocado roll and the Vegetable Tempura roll, which she said she enjoyed.
For a sushi restaurant in Philadelphia, I found the sushi at the Aki Japanese Restaurant to be fresh and good. Nothing seemed to jump out in terms of flavor, but as I stated, I did love their Cruncy Spicy Tuna roll. I found their prices to be very reasonable, considering that we were in Center City and had quality sushi.
