But fear not because a delectable bacon-themed restaurant is set to take its place. The highly anticipated Bake’n Bacon, owned by the mastermind behind the popular Bake’n Bacon food trucks, will bring its sizzling concept to the heart of South Philly on December 14th.
Spanning an impressive 2,500 square feet, Bake’n Bacon will have ample space to accommodate 86 eager diners. The restaurant will boast a cozy dining room, a fully stocked bar, and exciting plans for a private space on the upper level. Guests can look forward to a wide range of dining options throughout the day, including lunch, brunch, dinner, happy hour, and late-night bites, all expertly crafted to showcase the glory of bacon.
The menu at Bake’n Bacon will leave no doubt that bacon is the show’s true star. With over 20 tantalizing bacon-based sandwiches, such as the mouthwatering Bacon Pesto Chicken Sandwich, the savory Bacon BBQ Sandwich, and the indulgent Bacon Mac Sandwich, patrons will find themselves spoiled for choice. For those seeking a more adventurous culinary experience, the Bacon Buffalo Sandwich and Bacon Burnt Ends will satisfy the most discerning palates. Bake’n Bacon’s journey began with owner Coleman’s ingenious idea for a bacon-themed food truck, which has now blossomed into the opening of this exciting new restaurant. Throughout the challenges of the pandemic, the Bake’n Bacon food trucks adapted by serving neighborhoods and cul-de-sacs, ultimately leading to the expansion of the fleet to include two trucks serving the entire region.
While the restaurant is currently BYOB, plans are to introduce a full-service bar as soon as Bake’n Bacon secures its long-awaited liquor license.
