PHILADELPHIA, PA—Get ready, Philadelphia! Cellar Dog Philly, a new entertainment and music venue, will open its doors on November 21st at 258 S. 15th Street in Center City. This 8,000-square-foot space will offer a unique blend of live music, games, and delicious food.
Arthur Backal, CEO of Backal Hospitality Group, is excited to bring the Cellar Dog concept to Philadelphia, a city known for its vibrant arts and culture. The venue offers a relaxed atmosphere where people can enjoy live jazz performances, play games like pool, ping pong, shuffleboard, and indulge in tasty bar food.
Speaking of food, Cellar Dog Philly’s menu is designed for sharing and features mouthwatering options like pub-style wings, a signature smash burger, a hot Italian sandwich, a short rib sloppy joe, and, of course, a Philly cheesesteak. For those with a sweet tooth, there are fried Twinkies with caramelized apples and nostalgic root beer floats.
Music lovers can look forward to live jazz performances curated by Ehud Asherie, a respected jazz pianist who has worked with renowned musicians worldwide. Cellar Dog Philly boasts high-quality equipment and rare instruments, including a vintage 1945 Steinway piano and a 1978 A-100 organ.
With its diverse entertainment options and welcoming atmosphere, Cellar Dog Philly is poised to become a favorite spot for casual outings, celebrations, and private events. The venue can accommodate gatherings of 10 to 350 guests and offers group food menus for easy planning.
Cellar Dog Philly will be open Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and Friday and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
