If you’re still recovering from the Eagles’ heartbreak or just looking to beat the January blues, the city has plenty of distractions lined up. From discounted high-end dining to major concert buzz, here is what’s happening in Philly entertainment this week.
1. Restaurant Week Reservations Are Open
The holidays are over, but the feasting isn’t. Center City District Restaurant Week officially kicks off this Sunday, January 18, and runs through January 31.
- The Deal: More than 100 restaurants are offering three-course dinners for $45 (with a premium tier at $60) and two-course lunches for $20.
- Who’s In: Fan favorites like Barclay Prime and Sampan are back, but tables are booking fast. We’re also seeing high demand for Positano Coast (Old City) and South Jazz Kitchen (North Broad), both of which just released their prix-fixe menus this morning.
- Pro Tip: If you’re doing “Dry January,” check out the new “Mocktail Pairing” add-ons many spots are debuting this year.
2. Concert Buzz: Bruno Mars & The Met
Rumors are swirling after a “Bruno Mars – The Romantic Tour 2026” placeholder briefly appeared on several major ticket sites this weekend. While no official date for Lincoln Financial Field has been confirmed yet, industry insiders expect a summer tour announcement as early as Friday.
In the meantime, indie-folk fans should grab tickets for Gregory Alan Isakov, who plays an intimate show at The Met Philadelphia on Thursday, Jan 22. Tickets are nearly sold out.
3. Mark Your Calendars: Auto Show Returns
Petrolheads, get ready. The 2026 Philadelphia Auto Show is confirmed to take over the Pennsylvania Convention Center starting January 31. The annual “Black Tie Tailgate” charity preview is set for Friday, Jan 30. Expect a heavy focus on EVs this year, with expanded indoor test tracks.
