Tequilas Restaurant was established in 1986 and is now located on Locust Street in the Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia. The owner, David Suro is from Guadalajar and wanted to bring the concept of authentic Mexican foods to Philadelphia.

Tequilas Restaurant Experience & Atmosphere

The decor at Tequilas Restaurant is very nice, giving it an upscale feel. Don’t let the skeleton pictures painted on the walls make you feel weird, while being at a nice restaurant. The characters depicted in the murals represent an unique moment in Mexican history.

The owner of Tequilas Restaurant, David Suro, loves teaching people about Mexican culture through food and drink. There are many different choices of Mexican foods on the menu, giving it an authentic taste to what Mexican food really is.

When it comes to drinks at the restaurant, the experienced mixologists really bring the drink to the food, adding an extra touch, trying to compliment the food with the drink. One of their signature margaritas is the rose petal margarita.

The staff at Tequilas Restaurant is very friendly, making your meal fun and enjoyable. If you ever get a chance, you will want to attend Tequila night. Suro spends a lot of time outside the restaurant, trying to find the best tequilas from Mexico, and teaches you about the process.
