Walmart is Upgrading 23 Ohio Stores to “Store of the Future”

OHIO—Ohio shoppers will have a significantly enhanced retail experience as Walmart rolls out major renovations at 23 of its stores across the state throughout 2025. This sweeping transformation is part of the retail giant’s ambitious nationwide “Store of the Future” initiative, designed to modernize facilities, expand services, and improve the customer journey.

Investing Across the Buckeye State:

This initiative represents a substantial ongoing investment by Walmart in Ohio. The 23 remodels planned for this year build upon the $815 million Walmart spent upgrading stores throughout the state in the five years prior to 2025. This continued commitment underscores Ohio’s importance to the retailer and its dedication to serving local communities and customers.
