PhillyBite Magazine and The Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure have joined forces to create the ultimate cheesesteak showdown, a 64-entry, single-elimination tournament modeled after the NCAA Men’s Basketball championship.

The Brackets:
The cheesesteaks are divided into four regions, each a battleground for cheesesteak supremacy:
- Region 1: Philadelphia (Philly) – This bracket features legendary cheesesteak joints within the city limits. Think Pat’s and Geno’s Steaks, Tony Luke’s, Jim’s Steaks, and many more.
- Region 2: Delaware County (Delco) – Delco cheesesteaks are known for their unique flair and loyal fanbase. Watch for contenders like Ishkabibble’s, Tony & Nick’s, and Sonny’s Fast Food.
- Region 3: Other Counties (Montco, Bucks, Chester) – The suburbs bring their A-game with cheesesteak havens like John’s Roast Pork, Chink’s Steaks, and Lee’s Hoagie House.
- Region 4: New Jersey/Delaware – Don’t sleep on these regional rivals! Jersey and Delaware throw their cheesesteak hats into the ring with contenders like Donkey’s Place (Camden), Tony Luke’s (Wilmington), and Jimmie John’s (Newark).
The Champions:
Two champions will be crowned:
- People’s Choice: Cheesesteak lovers can vote for their favorites on the PhillyBite Magazine website. The cheesesteak with the most votes will be declared the People’s Choice Champion.
- Judges’ Choice: The Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure team, a crew of dedicated cheesesteak connoisseurs, will embark on a delicious pilgrimage, visiting and critiquing every contender. Their ultimate pick will be crowned the Judges’ Choice Champion.
The Glory:
Beyond bragging rights, the winning cheesesteaks will receive extensive coverage in PhillyBite Magazine and The Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure’s online platforms. This is cheesesteak publicity gold!
