‘LIVE Music With Bastille Day In Philadelphia’
Get ready for some great music, games, food and more – while celebrating Bastille Day in Philadelphia!
For the past 24 years, Bastille Day in Fairmount was celebrated with Marie Antoinette, the Bearded Ladies and dozens of French revolutionaries center stage outside of Eastern State Penitentiary. That came to an end last year.
Welcome in the new era of celebrating Bastille Day in Fairmount thanks to Kronenbourg 1664, local Fairmount businesses and more, who will be bringing you lots of live music and fun!
Bastille Day Experience and Atmosphere
Visitors can enjoy beer, cocktails, and food that will be sold outside at various stations, featuring Kronenbourg 1664 and 1664 Blanc as the premiere French beer and organizers of the festival.
There will be live music performances throughout the day headlined by local band, Black Landlord, accompanied by DJ Shecky Lopez to keep the excitement and energy spread throughout the day.
Get your game on as there will be a section for outdoor games for all ages to include cornhole, ladder golf, giant twister, and Jenga. There will also be a face painting station for the younger crowd.
Attendees can also enjoy a live raffle throughout the day for their chance to win various prizes.

What is behind Bastille Day
What is Bastille Day? It’s a French holiday, which in France, is called La Fête Nationale (The National Celebration). It takes place every year on July 14. This day represents the storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789; which was a French prison and is seen as a symbol of the uprising of the modern nation that took place back then in Paris, France.

Royal Boucherie Weekend Celebration
Located at 52 S. 2nd St in Old City
July 12 – 14 ~ On Friday enjoy happy hour featuring French specialities. Then on Saturday, Royal Boucherie will host a Bastille Day burlesque show. Finally on Sunday, a DJ will spin French vinyl for brunch.
Bastille Day Block Party at Good King Tavern
Located at 614 S. 7th St.
July 14 ~ Noon to 6 pm (cash only). The South Street Headhouse District will shut down Kater Street between Sixth and Eighth streets and Seventh Street between South and Bainbridge Streets.
Beer drinks can enjoy Lo-Fi Aperitifs, Kronenbourg, Love City Brewing Co. and Hale & True. You can eat outside or inside several of the restaurants and vendors that are along these streets. Visitors will also enjoy music, games and more.
