Dîner En Noir Becoming Part Of The Philadelphia Scene

Diner En Noir 2014 At Penn Treaty Park

‘Mingle Under The Stars With New And Old Friends At Dîner en Noir’

Dîner en Noir is hosting their second annual pop-up picnic on September 10! The event where all guests dress in black, founded by Chris Nowaczyk, has several meanings behind the event itself.

Those behind Dîner en Noir have expressed that they want to use the event to help people explore unknown areas in the Philadelphia area. Nowaczyk stated;

It’s about exploring Philadelphia’s hidden gems. Places that have a significant importance in the city, but those areas that aren’t talked about as much or visited.

We can’t wait to see what Noir has picked for their 2015 location!

From speaking to Chris and a few of the volunteers, they also want to introduce those smaller charities and businesses in the Philly region that don’t get noticed as well. For this year’s event, Noir’s charity partner is the Bethesda Project. The mission of Bethesda Project is to find and care for the abandoned poor and to be family with those who have none. Another reason why we love to be a part of Diner En Noir, is that they want to give back! More about Bethesda Project.

Keeping with the theme that everyone must dress in all black, Noir has chosen a men’s and a women’s store to be their clothing partners. Their women’s clothing partner is Urban Princess Boutique. Their men’s clothing partner is Goldstein’s Men’s & Boy’s Wear. Not only are both charity partners giving all Noir attendees a discount, but they will be donating some of their proceeds back to the Bethesda Project as well. And this year’s pop color is teal! Teal happens to be the same color of the Bethesda Project. For more info on Urban Princess Boutique and Goldstein’s Men’s & Boy’s Wear.

What is a picnic without food. Yes, you can make your own meals and bring them to the event. But for those who don’t want the hassle of creating their own meals and just want to enjoy the evening, they can order their meal from Noir’s catering partner, By Taste! Catering. The person behind By Taste! Catering is Chef Bill Beck, who also owns Beck’s Cajun Cafe. For more info on Noir’s catering, click here.

There will also be some entertainment during the evening as well. Overall, it should be an exciting evening. There are some tickets available, so get them before they are sold out. For tickets, click here!
