‘Helping to Save Our National Parks One Voice at a Time!’
Our National Parks are extremely important in keeping the basic principals of why they exist of which is part of the American history. And it happens to be National Park Week, from April 19 to 27.
Award-winning singer and song writer Doreen Taylor was honorably chosen to collaborate with the nation’s leading park advocacy organization, the nonprofit National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), on a song about national parks. She had performed her song, “Colors of the USA“, at the world premiere at the Salute to the Parks Gala in Washington D.C. back on April 9.
Taylor now brings her talents and this special song to Philadelphia in a charity release party at MilkBoy Philadelphia at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, April 22. Part of the proceeds from the song will go to the NPCA’s efforts to help our national parks. The song can be downloaded here: Colors of the USA
The National Parks Conservation Association’s mission is to protect and enhance America’s National Park System for present and future generations. Having recorded this song in Philadelphia, Taylor is proud to be a part of it and shares her passion with us:
“To have been selected by the National Parks Conservation Association to write and produce my new American anthem, “Colors of the USA” honoring the National Parks and their upcoming centennial in 2016 has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I feel so strongly about protecting our National Parks and honoring these natural and historic treasures for future generations. Being able to use my talents and create this new song to not only raise money (50% from each download will be donated to the NPCA) but to also raise awareness for this amazing cause is the greatest blessing I could have ever hoped for.”
