Fare Restaurant Experience & Atmosphere

At Fare Restaurant, not only can the cuisine be described as clean, placing their focus on all organic ingredients, but the establishment itself boasts a green environment. Everything from the organic liquor that goes into the martinis, to the upholstery and carpets made from 100  percent recycled materials, to the kitchen’s composting program.

Fare Restaurant in Fairmount PhiladelphiaFare is an unique establishment in the Fairmount neighborhood because of its warm contemporary space which the neighborhood has been craving. All the wood is brand-new and the restaurant has an eclectic modern flair.

The food is locally grown, giving you healthy options not only for your meal which the food is light and flavorful, but for your drinks. Some people complain that the food lacks seasoning and might be missing the point.  Fare has a niche, and that niche is clean, fresh, healthy food and often times that means easy on the salt.

Some of the more popular items from the menu are; the chicken meatballs, vegetable mushroom cakes, avocado crab cakes, New York Strip, and the scallops.

Need a drink to go with your meal. There is a wide selection of wines, 40 wines by the glass, in which more than 15 of them can only be bought by the bottle. Some of these wines are organic wines as well as sustainable and bio-dynamic wines. They also have 20 craft beers and a cocktail list of 5 specialty drinks.

Fare is unlike many restaurants in Philadelphia and brings a different perspective to the Fairmount neighborhood. It’s a place with a  little modern style that can serve up that familiar Whole Foods feeling in a restaurant for less than $20 a plate. You can also check out the events at Fare by going to their web site and reading up on their blog section.
