Movie Nights Presented by Schuylkill Banks

2012 Movie Nights by Schuylkill Banks

‘Movies Under the Stars in Philadelphia’

Philadelphia summer nights under the stars with friends, family, loved ones and yes, free movie nights sponsored by Schuylkill River Development Corporation and CSX.

Thanks to Schuylkill Banks, you will be able to enjoy ten different movies this summer at two different locations. Some of these movies are our favorites and are classics.

Starting Thursday, June 13th, the movies will take place every Thursday until August 29th, except for on July 4th. The movies will usually begin around dusk, between 7:45 pm to 8:30 pm. But you will want to come early, because there will be free snacks, refreshments, and a raffle for a chance to win a gift card. The snacks will be available on a first-come basis. Enjoy your movie!

Key Tips : You will want to bring a blanket or some chairs to relax on. And don’t forget your picnic basket of goodies. Just be cautious when going to the Walnut Street movies. When crossing the railroad tracks to access Schuylkill Banks, use alternate access points when trains are stopped at the Locust Street or Race Street at-grade crossings.

In case of rain, please check out their updates in the movie section of their web site. Click HereThey will post all cancellations as soon as possible. If a movie is cancelled, a rain date will be announced once it is scheduled. You can also follow them on their Facebook and Twitter.
