The North Third Experience & Atmosphere
When walking into North Third, you’ll notice a casual and fun vibe with a refreshing layout and decor, that seems to be different from so many local bars and restaurants in Philadelphia. It’s just a relaxing place with good spacing between the tables and the bar.
North Third has a wide range of food to select from. Anything from steamed mussels, shrimp and ginger dumplings, salads, different types of sandwiches, fish, and burgers. I have heard many good compliments about their food, especially the potato pierogies, their burgers, and the pulled pork sandwich. I ended up trying the pulled pork and was warned that it would be messy. Yes, it was messy, but it was excellent. It had caramelized onions in the mix and was on a brioche bun, which was also excellent.
So you are thirsty. A few of their specialty’s are the blood orange margarita and the red sangria. You also have a choice of 6 drafts beers, 16 bottled beers, and if you like Belgian beers, 6 different types in bottles. And of course they have a wide range of 20 or so red and white wines which you can always choose from.
My experience at North Third in Northern Liberties was a pleasant time and I am definitely going back to try some of their other food selections. With a low key atmosphere, friendly wait and bar staff, and good food, I would highly recommend North Third.
