Oktoberfest 2011 in Philadelphia – Things to do

.

Oktoberfest has become a national beer festival that originated in 1811 due to a a celebration after a Royal Wedding in Munich, Germany. Since 1960, it has become a 16-18 day event that has been transposed into an enormous world-famous event.

Here in Philadelphia, Oktoberfest seems to get better and better. Would one be surprised after the City of Philadelphia has been named one of the top 14 beer cities in the World in 2011, besides being named one of America’s top beer cities.

As Oktoberfest in Philadelphia comes to a close, with most events ending on October 15th, we wanted to share some of these Oktoberfest events that are left..
