PHILADELPHIA – unPOP Animation has once again created a viral sensation with their latest project, ‘A Philly Special Christmas Special’. Led by the talented couple Peter Heacock and Marie Hart, this eight-minute stop-motion animated music video features members of the Philadelphia Eagles, including Jason Kelce, Jordan Mailata, and Lane Johnson, along with special guests Travis Kelce and Patty Labelle.

A Philly Special Christmas Special
The idea for the project originated from Connor Barwin, Jason Kelce, and Charlie Hall, who wanted to surpass the success of last year’s Christmas album. Having previously worked with unPOP on a viral video for Merrill Reese, the Eagles’ voice, the collaboration was a natural fit. Combining the spirit of Christmas classics with the passion of Philadelphia sports, the video is a dream come true for the couple.
With 5,000 hours of meticulous work, the video showcases 20 handcrafted puppets, 5,000 individual photographs, and an array of custom-made sets and costumes. It also features cameos from local celebrities like Nick Foles and Patti LaBelle. The project is a testament to the talent and dedication of unPOP Animation and their ability to create captivating content for various platforms.
Peter Heacock, an NYU alumnus and award-winning filmmaker, and Marie Hart, a talented artist with a background in crafts and landscape architecture, have established unPOP as a leading animation studio and advertising agency. Their portfolio includes collaborations with renowned brands like Lego, VW, Sesame Street, and Samsung. ‘A Philly Special Christmas Special’ is their love letter to Philadelphia and the Eagles, showcasing their journey as creators and social media influencers.
