P'unk Burger on East Passyunk Avenue

‘Grass-Fed Burgers on East Passyunk Avenue’

It’s Burger Time on East Passyunk Avenue! And no pun intended, since P’unk Burger does have the arcade game Burger Time inside their establishment.

The owners of Slice, a pizzeria with three locations created by Marlo and Jason Dilks, now bring you P’unk Burger! Opening on February 13, 2015, it’s location at 1823 East Passyunk Ave in East Passyunk is another addition to East Passyunk Avenue’s dining scene.

P’unk Burger Atmosphere & Experience

P’unk Burger is a simple BYOB eatery that seats approximately 28 inside, to include 12 for the picnic table, and during the warmer months, another 15 outside.

Owner Marlo Dilks started  in the business at the age of 13 thanks to her dad, who owned two kitchenettes and a butcher store. She first was a buser, then a waitress and started cooking with her dad at the age of 17. I truly enjoyed talking to Marlo, because she really seems to get the food business. She told us that she has a strong belief and added this;

“It comes down to Luck, God, Working Hard – while giving back.”

One way that P’unk Burger gives back is through their arcade game, Burger Time. They’ll donate the money from the game to a different charity once a month.

The burgers are made from humanely-raised, grass-fed cows from Esposito’s, which are antibiotic, pesticide, and hormone-free. The menu also gives you a variety of vegan and gluten-free choices in addition to the meaty burgers.

You can choose to build your own burger, allowing you such options as beef, chicken breast, veggie burgers, turkey and Ahi sushi grade tuna. There are 15 cheeses, 18 toppings and 15 sauces to choose from. Anything to include from: American cheese, beer and mustard cheese, fried mozzarella cheese, fried pickles, smashed tater tots, truffle oil, long hots, garlic insanity bacon from Meats 1732, turkey bacon and much more.

Can’t decide on what burger to build? How about choosing from one of nine different specialty burgers. Such burgers to include the Big Man on Campus (beef stuffed and topped with american cheese, double garlic insanity bacon, lettuce, tomato and red onion), Cuban (beef, ham, red Dragon English Ale whole grain mustard cheddar, fried pickles, pressed), Wasabi Ahi (spicy rare Ahi Tuna with wasabi sauce, arugula and Cusabi punk slaw) and the Veg (veggie burger with tomato, sliced avocado, red onion and bibb lettuce).

Lastly, you can always ask for the burger of the month. This burger creation is generally stuff that is not listed on the menu. The full menu is available right here.

A burger isn’t a burger unless you add fries or some other side dish. You can choose between thin cut Idaho or sweet potato fries, onion rings, tater tots, fried mozzarella, or pickle chips.

In addition to burgers and tasty sides, P’unk Burger will serve local milkshakes, which you can build yourself as well. The ice cream is locally source, which comes from Little Baby’s Ice Cream. Dairy-free milkshakes are available as well as sodas from Maine Root.
