Restaurant Week in Fairmount

Many of you probably know about Philadelphia Restaurant Week, which has been a great success over the last several years. Well, it’s time to get excited about the first ever Fairmount Restaurant Week.
Visiting Philadelphia or living in another section of the city, yet you don’t get out of your neighborhood much. Then this is your excuse.
Why should one get excited? First off, the Center City restaurants won’t over-shawdow those restaurants in Fairmount since this restaurant week is at a different time of year. And not to take anything away from the many excellent restaurants in downtown Philadelphia, there are many in Fairmount to explore.
Besides the charming and delightful restaurants in Fairmount, you are a few blocks from the Art Museum District. With the Barnes Foundation just opening, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Franklin Institute, the Rodin Museum, and many more; it can certainly add to your experience during restuarant week. And don’t forget about Fairmount’s own Eastern State Penitentiary, and that it’s a National Historic Landmark.
How it works is that some of the local restaurants will offer a 3-course menu for $35 or less.
The participating restaurants would include newcomers to the neighborhood and those that keep up the Fairmount neighborhood tradition. Such restaurants as; La Calaca Feliz, Fare Restaurant, Jack’s Firehouse, London Grill, and many more. As of now, there are 19 restaurants ~ Click Here (restaurants & their menus) ~
Fairmount’s Restaurant Week will kick-off Memorial Day Weekend, which is being sponsored by Fairmount CDC and in partnership With Art Philadelphia™, allowing visitors a cultural experience not found in other parts of the city. Don’t forget to make your reservations ahead of time and enjoy.
