Run Wild at The Philadelphia Zoo

The Philadelphia Zoo eagerly anticipates its annual “Run Wild for the Zoo” 5k and One-Mile Fun Run on Sunday, April 28. This highly anticipated event offers a unique opportunity for participants to explore the Zoo’s expansive 42-acre grounds while showing their support for the 1,900 animals that call the Zoo home. Neil Batiancila, Chief Development Officer, stresses the vital role of community involvement in ensuring the welfare of the Zoo’s diverse animal population.

Prospective participants are urged to secure their spot by April 1 to guarantee receipt of an exclusive race day t-shirt. Registration fees are $40 for the 5k and $25 for the Fun Run/Walk, with an additional suggested fundraising target of $100. All participants will enjoy complimentary admission to the Zoo for the entirety of the day. The event starts with check-in at 7:00 am and the 5k race at 8:00 am. Awards will be distributed post-race, and attendees can refuel with snacks courtesy of Riverwards Produce. Rain or shine, the event will proceed, with parking available at the Zoo Garage on Girard Avenue.
