South Street Headhouse Spring Festival

‘Food, Live Music, Family Fun and More!’

The South Street Headhouse 7th annual Spring Festival is a free event that is fun and energized with great food, beer, live music and much more. A great event for the family as kids can enjoy the Kid Zone while others can enjoy the many local shops, restaurants, crafts, live music and more.

This year’s festival, May 4, will start at 11 am and runs till 8 pm, closing down South Street (between Front and 8th), and along the Second Street Plaza (between South and Lombard).

There will be at least 30 restaurant/bars and food trucks who will be serving their signature and specialty dishes with fabulous drinks outside. In addition, there will be 125+ boutiques and businesses for your shopping needs, and dozens of artists selling their handmade wares. There will be crafters, artists and retailers as well. You’ll be able to enjoy and explore entertainment scattered along South Street that will include live music from 40+ local musicians that will be stationed at three main stages with seven other performance areas.  The three main stages will be along South Street at 2nd, 5th and 8th Streets. 4th Annual Taco Eating Contest

The taco eating contest utilizes an oversized Lorenzo and Sons pizza slice in place of a tortilla and wraps it around a Jim’s Steaks cheesesteak which is the taco filling. Who will take this epic challenge to be the fastest to eat this special super-sized creation. The contest is at the Pepsi stage at 3 pm. For more details, click here

Brauhaus Schmitz Maifest

In conjunction with the South Street Spring Festival, Brauhaus Schmitz on the 700 block of South Street, will be having their 7th Annual German Maifest that will feature authentic German food, German beer, music, dancing and a May pole. More details, click here.
