Summer Kaleidoscope ~ Summer Fun At The Oval in 2015

The Oval Overlooking City Hall

‘Summertime Fun At The Pop-Up Park On The Parkway’

As you go round and round – enjoying the colorful patterns – it’s summertime fun at The Oval and this year’s theme, “Summer Kaleidoscope.”

See the brand new 25,000 square foot mural, “Summer Kaleidoscope,” commissioned by the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program!

The centerpiece of The Oval, called the Kaleidoscope, is an art installation by Jessie Unterhalter and Katey Truhn. The Baltimore-based duo creates large-scale, colorful pieces that often break the rules of traditional murals by spilling onto the ground and surrounding area. The temporary exhibit is a collaboration with the city’s Mural Arts Program.
