Looking for things to do in Philadelphia this weekend? Visiting Philadelphia and have some time to squeeze something else into your agenda? The City of Philadelphia has so much to offer and we just wanted to highlight a few of the things taking place this weekend.

Things To Do In Philadelphia this Weekend

  • First Friday – 2/3 – If you love art, especially that of local Philadelphia Artists, this is a great event. Not only do you mingle with others with looking at art, enjoy food and beverages, but you get a possible chance to talk to some of the art directors from the art galleries or even some of the artists.  ~ First Fridays ~
  • Philadelphia Auto Show ~ 1/28 – 2/5 ~ There will be more than 700 vehicles on display from approximately 40 manufacturers worldwide at the newly expanded Philadelphia Convention Center. ~ Philadelphia Auto Show ~
  • Ice Skating – through March 4th – A chance to enjoy a weekend with family and right now, some enjoyable weather while ice skating at the Blue Cross RiverRink at Penns Landing.
  • Van Gogh Exhibit ~ 2/1 – 5/6 ~  Are you an art lover? Appreciate talent? How exciting, especially since Philadelphia will be the only place in the United States to hold this exhibit. If you are visiting Philadelphia, you are in luck. ~ Van Gogh Exhibit ~
  • Dinosaurs at the Franklin Institute – Through April 15th – Like dinosaurs? Come check out some newly discovered dinosaurs from the last two decades. Get to see some up close and personal. ~ Mysterious Dinosaurs ~
  • Design Zone – through  April 1st –  The Design Zone is held at the Franklin Institute. As a kid, here is your chance not only to be very creative, to use your creative juices, but get to be an adult. You might get to build a skate park. Or a roller coaster. Or how about produce your own music at a recording studio.  ~ Design Zone ~

Visiting Philadelphia

So you are Visiting Philadelphia or even new to the City of Philadelphia. There are so many historical sites to see Philly. Here is our list of things to do in Philadelphia. The weather will also be cooperating this weekend, from a high of 51 degrees to a low of around 33 degrees. It will also be mostly sunny all weekend.

  • Philadelphia Museum of Art – So many things that surround this museum. The “Rocky” Steps or the “Rocky” statue. A great view down Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Behind the museum, you can view Boat House Row and a few other things. ~ Philadelphia Museum of Art ~
  • The Independence Visitor’s Center – Your guide for all of your information relating to historical sites in Philadelphia. ~ Independence Visitor’s Center ~
  • Liberty Bell – Symbol of American Independence – If you are visiting Philadelphia, this is one site that must be seen. ~ Liberty Bell ~
  • Betsy Ross House – Did Betsy Ross actually make the American Flag? Learn about some of Philadelphia’s earliest history. ~ Betsy Ross House ~
  • Independence Hall –  This is where the Declaration of Independence was adopted and where the Constitution of the United States was debated, drafted and signed.  ~ Independence Hall ~
  • National Constitution Center – If anything, you must see the ‘We the People’ exhibit. There are other timely exhibits. ~ National Constitution Center ~
