NFL Draft Room

‘Feel Like You Are Part Of A Team At The 2017 NFL Draft!’

Feel the excitement of seeing how it all takes place at the NFL Draft!

The NFL Draft Room is open to the public! Fans will be able to enter The Franklin Institute free of charge to witness live on what takes place behind the scenes and not from their living room couch. There will be a few small viewing galleries that visitors can walk by to experience this first hand.

The team’s draft tables are set up in the order of their draft positions held in the first round. The first team is up front, closest to the main draft table and snakes around the room to the last team to draft in the first round, which would be at the back of the draft room.

Experiencing The NFL Draft Room at the Franklin Institute

The headsets on each teams table are just like the ones used outside at airports. So these special headsets will keep all noise out so the teams can communicate properly without interruption. There will be runners at each team’s draft table who will run messages to other teams for possible trades and or run their team’s draft pick to the main table up front, in turn who will relay that pick back to the main stage, which will then be delivered to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Eric Finkelstein, NFL Director of Event Operations, had this to say regarding the NFL draft room:
We want to bring the fans as close as possible to really see the process of how all the players do get selected, and just what goes into that. We literally give a little peak behind the curtain and just to see how the process works. It’s just another enhanced experience for our fans to be able to be a part of this great event.
