Pennsylvania Dutch Festival

Pennsylvania Dutch Festival

‘Annual Celebration Of Tasty Dutch Foods & Traditions’

It’s that time of year again to try the many tasty Dutch foods at the Pennsylvania Dutch Festival. The festival will be held from August 6 to 8 at the Reading Terminal Market. It will take place in the market’s center court for the first two days and then moves outdoors over to Arch Street for a country block party on Saturday.

The 35th annual festival is a 3-day celebration of Dutch traditions, tasty foods, fun and crafts. Come experience the many Pennsylvania Dutch vendors serving a large selection of foods such as: potpies, homemade fudge, Pennsylvania Dutch sausage sandwiches, funnel cakes (which are originally Pennsylvania Dutch), jams, scrapple, soft pretzels, corn fritters, homemade ice cream (made in an old-fashioned churn-style ice cream maker), birch beer, donuts and much more.

You’ll be able to check out the many quality craftsmanship of handmade rugs, quilts, wooden furniture and toys, all that you could buy for your home or become unique gifts for friends and family.

The third day of the Pennsylvania Dutch Festival turns out to be like a country walk-about through time, with live bluegrass music, Amish buggy rides, petting zoos and horse-drawn wagon rides.

Come one, come all, it will definitely be a great event for the family. Just bring your appetite!
