Who is getting excited about the Philadelphia Eagles 2013-14 season and the start of the Chip Kelly Era.
Now, there is no guarantee that Chip Kelly will be a part of the Eagles for a long time to come, but we like his chances before the season even starts. I have just noticed so many good changes in such a short period. But let’s move on.
The Eagles kick off their season by playing the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football at 7 pm on September 9. How exciting is this going to be, going up against the NFC East Division Champions of 2012 for the start of the season. There is no telling if RG3 will be playing, but Michael Vick of the Eagles was named starter earlier today.
My two biggest thoughts on the Eagles season? If the offensive line can stay healthy and if the defense improves, I definitely love the Birds chances to wreck havoc in the NFL. Some might argue that my statements could be bias, being a long time Eagles fan.
How the Philadelphia Eagles fans! Did you know that there was a study conducted that states that the Dallas Cowboys have the best fans in the NFL, while the Eagles fans were ranked 17th out of 32 teams. This is not a misprint. Maybe understanding what was used in their formula might shed some light. How about the fact that two of the biggest indicators used were stadium capacity and box office revenue. The Eagles Lincoln Financial Field has a capacity of 68,532, while the Cowboys stadium has a capacity of 80,000. (There was more to it, based on attendance and such)
How does this equate to the best NFL fans? How is “true fan passion’ and ‘best fan’ defined? What about those 1988 Cowboys who went 3-13 and the following year went 1-15. It was hard to find a Cowboy fan then.
How about those teams’ fans that travel the best. Are the Eagles fans still penalized for such antics back in the day when they threw snowballs at Santa or the Dallas Cowboy’s players. I feel that this study is lacking in several areas. What about you? CBS Philly uncovers the story here.

My Prediction for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013-14: 10-6 – yes, call me crazy. And speaking of crazy, if you ever want to get fun-crazy prior to an Eagles home game, come hang out with One Crazy Fan. A great Philly tailgate with great tailgaters around them.
