‘Fly Eagles Fly ~ 2018 World Champions!’
It’s that time of year again! Philadelphia Eagles Football, who are the 2018 World Champions!
Guests can enjoy a day long festival on Thursday, September 6, that leads up to game time, when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Atlanta Falcons at Lincoln Financial Field at 8:20 pm!
The event which honors the Super Bowl LII Champions, will be held at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing from noon to 8 pm!
You’ll get a chance to once again watch the thrilling Super Bowl LII and listen to a concert by Shawn Mendes. There will be interactive games, a display of the full collection of the 52 Super Bowl rings and a chance to take photos with the Vince Lombardi trophy will also be available.
Events and activities that will take place:
- Appearances by Eagles Legends throughout the day
- Super Bowl LII re-watch party (Noon)
- Performance by country duo LOCASH (3 PM)
- Performance by Pennsylvania-born Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Daya (4 PM)
- Viewing of America’s Game – The Story of the Super Bowl LII Champions (5 PM)
- Headline concert by multi-platinum singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes (6 PM)
- And more
Eagles legends — including six-time Pro Bowler David Akers; Jason Avant; four-time Pro Bowler Harold Carmichael; Super Bowl LII champion Brent Celek; four-time Pro Bowler Randall Cunningham; Eagles Hall of Famer Jeremiah Trotter; and two-time Pro Bowler Brian Westbrook — will be there to sign autographs and greet fans.
Fans are encouraged to visit NFL.com/Kickoff for additional information, and to sign up for NFL Kickoff – Fan Mobile Pass at NFL.com/FanMobilePass for their all-access pass to Kickoff Experience and a chance to win prizes, including tickets to the Eagles’ Kickoff game or to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.
Guests are advised that the Eagles v. Falcons game on September 6, 2018 WILL NOT be broadcasted at the NFL Kickoff Experience. For more details on the event, road closures, public transportation and more, click here.
Prior to all of these activities, there will be a mural dedication at The Palm restaurant on Wednesday, September 5 at 5 pm which sits inside the Bellevue Philadelphia Hotel on 200 S. Broad Street.
The Palm’s resident artist, Zack Bird, is painting the Eagles mural in the same brightly colored caricature style as the rest of the restaurant’s artwork. He’s including Jeffrey Lurie, Howie Roseman, Doug Pederson, Foles, Wentz, Kelce, and Jenkins, plus 2018 Hall of Fame inductee Brian Dawkins.
Co-owner Wally Ganzi and Mayor Jim Kenney will be in attendance for this event.
Other Murals:
The mural, which is seen up top, has been created by Meg Saligman. This mural sits atop of the Hale building at Juniper and Sansom Streets.
We asked Meg what this mural meant to her and she said;
Let this feeling last forever, a historic win on the historic Hale building, looming over Broad Street which will be here for next year and years to come.
