Beer Lovers Unite! It’s Philly Beer Week!
Beer Week in Philadelphia is an exciting time for many. This years 10-day event(s), from June 1 to 10, is the eleventh annual celebration of the city’s beer culture that will be throbbing with energy.
Since starting in 2008, the yearly celebration allows beer lovers to go on tours of some of the best pubs and breweries and will feature events ranging from beer tastings, beer-pairing dinners, lectures, and other activities and specials.
The organizations signature event, Opening Tap, which is on June 1, kicks off with a massive beer party held at the Fillmore. BeerGoers will be able to wet their palates that features rare and limited pours from more than 60 breweries and cideries. ~ Get Tickets! ~
There will also be live entertainment by Triple DJ Threat and a performance by Chill Moody! Beer enthusiasts will get a chance to win prizes through a $5 raffle as well. One of the key prizes being 2 tickets to Brewery Ommegang presents Game of Thrones at the Eastern State Penitentiary!

Hammer of Glory Relay
Prior to the Opening Tap event, enjoy the Hammer of Glory Relay! The HOG, as it is formally known, is the mascot of PBW. Follow the Hammer starting at 9 am as it travels to many different bars and breweries, while ending at its destination, Opening Tap. This year’s HOG Relay schedule and means of transport will be announced at a later date, so stay tuned!
