‘Come Pub Crawl with the HOG & Tom Kehoe!!’
Spring signifies the start of many festivals in Philadelphia. One anticipated event is Philly Beer Week! Usually you have to wait until the end of May. Not anymore!
Rev up your palates for the inaugural #HOGTour pub crawl! For those of you that don’t know, HOG stands for Hammer of Glory.
The first pub crawl leading up to Philly Beer Week will take place in the Fairmount neighborhood of Philly on Thursday, March 26. This special event will take place from 6 pm to 10 pm at several bars in Fairmount. Grand Marchsall Tom Kehoe of Yards Brewing Company will lead the charge with the HOG starting at London Grill at 6 pm. The pub crawl will then head to Urban Saloon, The Belgian Cafe and final beer on over to the Kite & Key.
“The HOG has been shy about venturing out on its own in the bitter cold over these harsh winter months…” says Kristine Kennedy, Director for PBW via a release.
“The HOG is itching to hit the streets – and your Instagram feeds, the hammer’s newest online obsession – as it quenches its thirst and poses for photos with beer lovers everywhere. But it’s ready to get back where it belongs: out sharing a beer with its friends at the best bars in Philadelphia.”
Besides following Tom Kehoe from bar to bar with the HOG, there will be craft beer specials and other surprises along the way. Additional HOG crawls will take place the last Thursday of each month leading up to the official kick-off of Philly Beer Week on Friday, May 29. The HOG will visit South Philly on April 30 and then Fishtown on May 28. Save the date for the ultimate HOG pub crawl that will take place on May 29, usually visiting 16 bars starting in the Northeast and finishing up in Center City. Philly Beer Week hits city bars from May 29 to June 7.
