‘Come Hang with the Pirates on Penn’s Landing’

The Independence Seaport Museum is holding the Old City Seaport Festival on the Penn’s Landing riverfront from October 10 – 12. The weekend festival will have Tall Ships, food, live music, crafts, vendors and activities along the waterfront.

The festivities will kick off at 5 pm on Friday, October 10 at the Independence Seaport Museum with a majestic parade of boats along Penn’s Landing. This event is free to the public, but you can be a part of the parade by purchasing a boat parade river tour.

Old City Seaport Festival in PhiladelphiaOn Saturday, October 11, the gates open at 10:00 am. You can tour the deck of the tall ships from 10 am – 4 pm. There will be a beer garden, food, live music, craft vendors, land and in-water activities, Fleisher Costume Sketching and river tours throughout the day. You can even get a sunset river tour which departs at 4:30 pm. There will be a pirate battle at 5 pm and the festival will end at 6 pm that Saturday.

The gates then open again at 10 am Sunday, October 12. The same activities will take place as they did the day before. And again, there will be a pirate battle at 5 pm and the festival will end at 6 pm that Sunday.
