Tavern on Broad, located in the Avenue of the Arts area on Broad Street in Philadelphia, is like the ultimate ‘man cave’. And yes, women are allowed. Just don’t let the outside fool you, with the steps leading downstairs to an underground level.

Tavern on Broad is a sports bar in Philadelphia that caters to all fans, even those out of towners. Opening in September of 2009, this tavern has added another element to Center City Philadelphia, allowing sports fans of the same team their own semi-private room to watch their team play.

When entering the main bar area, it does have its open space for when it does get crowded. But one would not realize how big it is until you walk around. There is a main bar, a side bar, and 6 different sound rooms that let you hear your game only. Just make sure you call in advance to reserve a room.

The tavern has 10 beers on draft, usually 20 to 30 bottles of beer, and a decent selection of liquor. This establishment does have some very good drink specials throughout the week and weekend.

Hungry? They have a selection of food that should allow you to be able to have an ample choice, anything from appetizers, to soups, salads, fries, and a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, and subs. Don’t forget to check out their daily lunch special.
