‘A Comfy Irish Pub’
The Black Sheep Pub and Restaurant is a quaint Irish pub that is nestled in the corner of Historic Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia. It has all the comforts of home; to include a fireplace, 6 televisions, darts, comfortable sitting areas, and much more.
The Black Sheep, which has been around since 1999, is located in a three-story colonial townhouse. They have two specialties that they serve, their sheperd’s pie and their Guinness Irish stew, besides having plenty of other favorites to indulge in. I have tried sheperd’s pie at many other locations throughout Philadelphia. Just recently, I tried Black Sheep’s shepherd’s pie for lunch a few weeks ago, and I would give it 4.7 stars out of 5 stars. The Black Sheep also offers a wide selection of beers, liquor, and wine from all around the world.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the Black Sheep for any type of gathering or meeting, may it be with friends, a special type of gathering, or just to stop in for a quick lunch. I just find it a comfortable spot, with a great atmosphere, a very polite staff, and reasonable prices (with good portions) for the area.
