2nd Street Festival at Northern Liberties

2nd Street Festival in Northern Liberties

‘Fun, Food & Music in Northern Liberties’

The 2nd Street Festival, a free event, is back again for its 8th Annual event in Northern Liberties on August 6. The festival will be hosted on 2nd street, between Germantown and Green Streets and at the Schmidt’s Common Stage. The streets will be filled with workshops, art, food, beer gardens, crafts, kids programs, and other merchandise vendors.

The goal of the annual 2nd Street Festival is to bring awareness to this exciting neighborhood that has so much to offer the city of Philadelphia. This event brings together young families, entrepreneurs and businesses; making the Northern Liberties community a neighborhood to appreciate.

This blowout block party will have three music and event stages. Thanks to the Philadelphia Folksong Society (PFS), they’ll be helping in the programming of the music, bringing the 7 -block party to an ultimate high.

Music headliners will include local bands such as Yellow Kites, Sirweah, Scool of Rock Philadelphia, Scratch Academy, Jolly Jane, Man About a Horse, Stargazer Lily, Roomtone, Peace & The City Grease and more. For a complete line-up, click here.

What goes good with music? Food and beer and there will be plenty of it. There will be beer gardens provided by the neighborhood’s most prominent restaurants, including Standard Tap, El Camino Real, Bar Ferdinand, Gunner’s Run, Cantina Dos Segundos, Heritage and more.

Explore the many food trucks such as The Cow and The Curd,  Dump-N-Roll, Nomad PizzaPoi Dog Philly and more. Just make sure you bring your appetite.

At MyPhillyAlive, we want to share the excitement that the City of Philadelphia resonates. Sharing the passion within, from the people of Philadelphia. At MyPhillyAlive, we’ll be talking about Philadelphia restaurants, fun bars, the city night life, the history of Philadelphia, Philly attractions & events, the arts, sports, and much more. We want people to add their experiences regarding Philadelphia, even if they are from out of town, which can be done on our Facebook fan page as well. www.facebook.com/MyPhillyAlive At the end of the day, we want to be different from the many Philadelphia sites. We want our site to be easy to navigate, while at the same time, we want you to not only find the hot spots, the best things to do in Philadelphia; but those hidden gems within the city. Thanks...
