Holiday Tree Lighting at Philadelphia Museum of Art

Christmas Tree at Philadelphia Museum of Art

‘Holiday Cheer With Art’

Kick off the holidays with a tree lighting celebration at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Wednesday, November 27 starting at 5 pm. The tree lighting countdown is at 6:00 pm!

Taking place on the East Terrace outside the museum, watch as the 47 plus foot tall tree shines brightly with solar-powered lights throughout the terrace. The tree can be seen sparkling down the Parkway from many different view points as well.

Join everyone for tasty treats, music by Chelsea Reed and the Fair Weather Nine and the Sister Cities Girlchoir, and the lighting of the tree with the best view in the city.

After the tree lighting, enjoy Pay What You Wish Wednesday’s at the museum which begins at 5 pm. Visitors will get to explore the galleries and experience world-renowned collections for any price that they desire.

The lighting will be broadcast live on 6ABC (WPVI-TV).
