’30 + Restaurants & Bars Serving Vegan Dishes’
Over 30 restaurants around Philadelphia will offer a prix-fixe vegan menu, from October 13 to 19, 2019, consisting of dishes that best represent that establishment. A portion of the proceeds from the week will be donated to Misfit Manor, an organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome at-risk animals, provide refuge to those that cannot be adopted out, and reduce the number of owner-surrenders by helping people care for their companion animals.
The price points will be $25, $35 and $45, besides some restaurants offering individual menu items. Some of those participating are: Plough and the Stars, Fine Palate, Khyber Pass Pub, Charlie Was A Siner, Tattooed Mom, Bourbon & Branch, The Cambridge, Vegan Chef Lenka Pop Up (1903 S Broad St), Cantina Los Caballitos, Miss Rachel’s Pantry, Cafe Ynez, The Thirsty Soul, American Sardine Bar, Bainbridge Street Barrelhouse and many more!
This event has been created by an organization called Philly Vegan Lady Gang. More than 900 members who are part of a secret group on Facebook, share restaurant recommendations, alert other members to grocery store finds, announce volunteering opportunities, set up fundraisers for animal welfare groups, and discuss all things vegan.
