‘Tasty Goodies From The Reading Terminal Market’

Come one, come all! Check out some of Reading Terminal’s most popular vendors as they line up on Filbert Street to showcase some of their best foods and treats on July 16 from 10 am to 4 pm.

You’ll get to experience tasty spices and food from Beck’s Cajun Cafe, German foods from Wursthaus Schmitz, fried shrimp and fried clams from Pearls Oyster Bar, Hatville Deli and much more.

Enjoy such foods and treats as: grilled turkey legs, grilled Tastykakes™, bacon-wrapped pineapple, ribs, brisket and pulled pork, Cajun burgers and shrimp kabobs, and grilled corn on the cob. Sweet ice cream treats to be served include homemade ice cream made onsite in a churn-style ice cream maker, gourmet ice cream sandwiches, grilled pound cake ice cream sandwiches, and more.

There will be family-friendly activities to include ice cream juggling, live music, children’s arts and crafts and an ice cream art display.

We have spoken to Chef Bill Beck of Beck’s Cajun Cafe and it sounds like you’ll be in for a big treat! Chef Beck will be grilling up tasty favorites using his very own Beck’s Kitchen Pantry Cajun condiments and spices. Satisfy your hunger for something tasty and good with these items from Beck’s:

  • Cajun Burger flavored with his original Devil Dust rub.
  • Beck’s Shrimp Skewers blackened with Beck’s Rub-A-Dub rub seasoning and dipped in his creamy, delicious Creole Mayo.
  • Grilled Corn on the Cob with a Devil Dust butter blend.

Beck’s Kitchen Pantry condiments and spice rubs will also be on sale for all of you home chefs and pit-masters. They’re also a great way to spice up your daily fare including sandwiches, salads, soups, burgers, hot dogs, meats, seafood and more.

Molly Malloy’s will also be hosting a beer garden at this year’s Sidewalk Sizzle.

New this year, merchants will be doing demonstrations throughout the day inside City Kitchen. Chef Joseph Poon, Chef Vincent Joseph and representatives from MeltKraft, Muellers Chocolate and Bassetts Ice Cream will be showcasing their skills crafting tasty summertime treats.
