Battle of the Branches Soccer Tournament on the Battleship New Jersey ~ August 6 ~ From noon to 4 pm on the Battleship New Jersey at 100 Clinton Street, Camden. In honor of Military Appreciation Week, The Philadelphia Union invites members of the military (active, retired and reserve), Department of Defense civilians, friends and family to participate in this soccer tournament on the deck of the Battleship New Jersey! The winner of the tournament gets free tickets to the Union’s Military Appreciation Game on Sunday, August 11, on-field recognition of their win and a limited-edition camo warm-up shirt. Spruce Street Harbor Park and the Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest ~ August 11 – September 2 ~ Spruce Street Harbor Park at 301 S. Christopher Columbus Boulevard. Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes Exhibit at The Franklin Institute ~ August 11 – September 2 ~ Held at the Franklin Institute at 222 N. 20th Street. Fans of the superhero comics and movies get a look at Marvel iconic memorabilia, to include original Spider-Man art, T’Challa’s Black Panther costume, movie props and concept sketches. The exhibition also promises immersive experiences, like Doctor Strange’s mirror dimension. ~ Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes Exhibit ~

Creatures of Habitat at the Philadelphia Zoo ~ August 11 – September 30 ~ Held at the Philadelphia Zoo at 3400 W. Girard Avenue. Visitors will get to explore 12 amazing life-size LEGO® brick vignettes situated throughout the Zoo. This gazillion piece journey shares the issues animals are facing around the world and spotlights the heroes working to save them. Each life-sized LEGO® brick scene is intricately fashioned from thousands of LEGO® bricks and is on exhibit only at Philadelphia Zoo.
