Wednesdays

  • Live at Lunch at Dilworth Park ~ Until July 24 & 25 – Starts back up September 5

FREE – Every Wednesday & Thursday from noon to 1:30 pm at Dilworth Park, enjoy musical and performing arts live. Food & drinks pay-as-you-go. (nothing in the month of August – back in September & October) ~ Live at Lunch at Dilworth Park ~

  • Christ Church Farmers’ Market/ Old City

Every Wednesday (Until November 6, 2019) from 2 pm to 7 pm through the late-fall, there will be rotating pop-up vendors and food trucks with complement weekly vendors including Fishtown Ferments, Katja’s Empanadas, Taproot Farm, Cherry Grove Farm, Beechwood Orchards, Mediterranean Delicacy, Fifth of the farm Creations, The Pasta Lab, Neil’s Sharpening Service, and more. Located on Church Street, between 2nd and 3rd. ~ Christ Church Farmers’ Market ~

  • Singing Fountain Farmers Market 

Every Wednesday, May 15 to August 28, from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Singing Fountain on East Passyunk Ave. Stop by for local produce, fresh-baked breads, mushrooms, flowers, and lots more! Sometimes live music as well. ~ Singing Fountain Farmers Market ~

  • Center City Sips

Every Wednesday (until August 28) from 5 pm to 7 pm, enjoy discounted drinks & foods at local restaurants & bars throughout the city!  ~ Center City Sips ~

  • Summer Music Nights at Penn Museum

Held aPenn Museum from 5 pm – 7 pm every Wednesday night until September 4, enjoy music curated by different individuals with food and refreshments! ~ Summer Music Nights at Penn Museum ~

  • Pay As You Wish

Stop in at the Philadelphia Museum of Art every Wednesday from 5 pm – 8:45 pm and ”Pay What You Wish”,  as you explore the museum and its remarkable collections. ~ Pay What You Wish ~

  • Parks On Tap (From every Wednesday to Sunday)

Parks on Tap is a program that brings a traveling beer garden from park to park for 23 weeks ending September 29. Get out there and explore many of Philadelphia’s beautiful parks while enjoy beer, food and good company! ~ Parks On Tap ~

Thursdays

  • Old City Eats

June 20 until August 29 ~ Old City District Introduces Old City Eats Summer Program! The program will include 25 + restaurants and bars, taking place every Thursday night from 5 pm till 8 pm until August 29. Establishments will offer one or more appetizers at discounted prices, drink specials and seasonal cocktails.Old City Eats ~

  • Schuylkill Banks Movie Nights

FREE  A movie every Thursday night until August 29. The movies usually begin around dusk, between 7:45 pm to 8:30 pm, but come early for free snacks. ~ Schuylkill Banks Movie Nights ~

  • String Band Music Under the Stars

FREE concert starts at 8 pm. – Every Thursday through August 15, join the Mummers for an outdoor string band performance at the Mummers Museum! Refreshments are served at 7:30 pm; soft pretzels, hot dogs and soda (pay-as-you-go). FYI – BYO lawn chairs! ~ Mummers in Philadelphia Summer Series ~

  • Screening Under The Stars

July 11 to August 29 ~ FREEEvery Thursday through August 29, enjoy movies at The Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing. The movies will start around dusk, approximately 8 pm to 8: 30 pm. ~ Screen Under The Stars ~

  • Stroll the Street in Manayunk 

Held every Thursday evening from 5 pm to 9 pm until August 29. In this summertime series, visitors can find food trucks, vendors, restaurant specials, lawn games, live music and more around Main Street and beyond. There will be themes each week. ~ Stroll the Street in Manayunk ~

  • Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll ~ 

FREE Pay-As-You-Go. Taking place everything Thursday until September 12, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Baltimore Avenue between 43rd Street and 52nd Street. Here is your chance to get $1 deals from West Philly shops and restaurants. Participants include Little Baby’s Ice Cream, Clarkville, Dock Street Cannery and many more. ~ Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll ~

  • Smooth Jazz Summer Nights

  • Independence After Hours ~ Until October 20 ~

Check out the Independence After Hours tours for the 2018 season that starts at 5:30 pm. Travel back to 1776 with your tour guide and fill up on a three-course meal from City Tavern. After dinner, visit Independence Hall for an after-hours tour of the national landmark. Tickets are available online.

  • Philadelphia Historical Activities for Kids & Adults ~ Until September 2 ~

  • 40th Street Summer Series ~ June 15, July 13 & August 17 ~

FREE – Held at 40th & Walnut Streets from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. 40th Street Summer Series is a free outdoor music series in University City that is family-friendly. Not only will there be the eclectic sounds of jazz, funk, Balkan brass and much more, but many activities and entertainment for both kids and adults such as jugglers, face painting, balloon art, fire artists and more. Each concert is scheduled on a Saturday starting at 6 pm. ~ 40th Street Summer Series ~

  • Summer Fun at The Oval + ~ July 19 – August 18 ~ 

FREE pay-as-you-go – Held at The Oval at 2451 Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Visitors can enjoy a new extended pedestrian promenade, three different block themed areas, cold drinks at the beer garden, food from different food trucks each week, games, free movie nights, concerts and more. ~ Opening of The Oval + ~

  • Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes Exhibit at The Franklin Institute ~ Until September 2 ~

Held at The Franklin InstituteUntil September 2 ~ Held at the Franklin Institute at 222 N. 20th Street. Fans of the superhero comics and movies get a look at Marvel iconic memorabilia, to include original Spider-Man art, T’Challa’s Black Panther costume, movie props and concept sketches. The exhibition also promises immersive experiences, like Doctor Strange’s mirror dimension. ~ Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes Exhibit ~
