  • Terror Behind the Walls ~ Now until November 9 ~ This massive retired prison, Eastern State Penitentiary, is rated as one of the top 10 haunted houses in the country. There are 6 attractions inside the cell blocks of scary prison. Order tickets online & use promo code DD13. ~ Terror Behind the Walls ~
  • Art After 5 ~ November 1Free with admission, from 5 pm to 8:45 pm. Roaring 20’s Dance Party –  Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society transport audiences to the 1920s with red-hot Dixieland jazz, featuring dance performances by flapper Gin Minsky and the dapper Dandy Wellington. Costumes are encouraged. Held at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the Great Stair Hall. ~ Art After 5 ~
  • Animina at Race Street Pier ~ November 1 ~ From 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Race Street Pier, here is your chance to experience the piece with some of Philadelphia’s most beautiful theater artists, dancers and visual artists creating an extra cinematic layer. Acts are interpreting the piece as they please, so their performances will be a surprise to everyone involved. Presented by FringeArts. ~ Animina at Race Street Pier ~
  • First Friday’s in Old CityNovember 1 ~ Your chance to visit Art Galleries throughout Old City after normal hours. You will be able to talk to the art directors and possibly some of Philadelphia’s local artists. This also takes place as First Saturdays with select Art Galleries extending out to Fishtown. ~ First Fridays ~
  • First Friday’s in Manayunk ~ November 1 ~ Come enjoy art in Manayunk. Before or afterwards, enjoy a meal at the many restaurants, or stop in one of Manayunk’s wonderful specialty shops. ~ First Friday’s in Manayunk ~
  • Day of the Dead Celebration ~ November 2 ~ From 1 pm to 4 pm at the  Penn Museum. This event is  a tradition that honors the lives of those that have passed by family and friends who gather to pray for and remember them. There will be traditional dances, enjoy storytelling, traditional crafts, and hear about the traditions that are practiced around the world. ~ Day of the Dead Celebration ~
  • ScrappleFest ~ November 2 ~ From 10 am to 4 pm at the Reading Terminal Market. Local Scrapple brands will sample their products, chefs will prepare an assortment of scrapple dishes, and a panel of local celebrities will judge the best Scrapple dish. ~ ScrappleFest at Reading Terminal Market ~

Visiting Philadelphia

  • Philadelphia Parks – Such as Fairmount Park or even Franklin Square for the kids or relaxing.
