  • Parks On Tap at Fairmount Water Works ~ July 26 – 28 ~ Along the Schuylkill River at 640 waterworks Drive, Fairmount Water Works was built between 1812 and 1872 to provide safe, clean drinking water to a city on the cusp of remarkable growth and was in operation until 1909. ~ Map ~ Parks On Tap ~ 
  • Shakespeare’s King Lear in Clark Park ~ July 26 – 28 ~ Starting at 7 pm reach night at Clark Park at 4398 Chester Ave. This year, enjoy Shakespeare’s tragedy, “King Lear.” Shakespeare’s play centers on the tale of a king who bequeaths his power and land to two of his three daughters, after they declare their love for him in an extremely fawning and obsequious manner. His third daughter gets nothing, because she will not flatter him as her sisters had done. When he feels disrespected by the two daughters who now have his wealth and power, he becomes furious to the point of madness. He eventually becomes tenderly reconciled to his third daughter, just before tragedy strikes her and then the king. The shows are free, although donations are accepted.   • XPoNential Music Festival ~ July 26 – 28 ~ Held at Various locations including BB&T Pavilion at 1 Harbour Boulevard, Camden! WXPN, the public radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, brings together musical legends and new performers for this festival along the Camden waterfront. The 2019 lineup includes Hozier, Elvis Costello & the Imposters, Blondie, Japanese Breakfast, Killiam Shakespeare and more exciting acts.  ~ XPoNential Music Festival ~
  • University City Dining Days ~ July 26 – 28 ~ Enjoy tasty meal deals at more than 35 neighborhood restaurants. Clarkville, White Dog Cafe, Distrito and other favorites offer three-course dinner for $15, $25 or $35. Fans of the superhero comics and movies get a look at Marvel iconic memorabilia, to include original Spider-Man art, T’Challa’s Black Panther costume, movie props and concept sketches.
