• Independence Day Parade ~ July 4 ~ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm ~ Location: Throughout Historic Philadelphia in Olde City. You won’t want to miss the largest Independence Day Parade in decades as it comes to life in Philadelphia’s Historic District. Over 6,000 participants will march through the nation’s most historic square mile. Special guests include Miss America and more!

  The parade begins at 5^th and Chestnut Streets, then travels West on Chestnut Street to 9^th Street. It then turns right onto 9^th Street, before heading down Market Street toward Front Street. The parade finishes by marching down Front Street to Chestnut Street. Total route is 1.2 miles long. ~ More Info ~

  The Philly 4th of July Jam, known as the “Largest Free Concert in America,” kicks off with celebrity performances on the iconic Benjamin Franklin Parkway will headline the non-stop live concert featuring food trucks, beer gardens and fun activities. The Concert will honor Philly’s own Boyz II Men and feature performances by The Philly POPS, Mandy Gonzalez, Tony DeSare and the legendary Mary J. Blige! • First Friday’s in Old City~ July 7 ~ Starts at 5 pm. Your chance to visit Art Galleries throughout Old City after normal hours. You will be able to talk to the art directors and possibly some of Philadelphia’s local artists. • Germantown Second Saturday Festival ~ July 8 ~ FREE – Held in the Historic Germantown neighborhood, from noon to 3 pm, guests throughout the day can take free buses to some of Germantown’s most-frequented sites (Johnson House, Cliveden and more) and enjoy live music, shopping and food. ~ Germantown Second Saturday Festival ~
• Center City Sips ~ July 12 – August 30 (takes place every Wednesday) ~ Welcome Center City Sips! Have a favorite establishment? Maybe wanting to try a new place out? • Old City Eats ~ July 13 ~ Old City District Introduces Old City Eats Summer Program! The program will include 25 + restaurants and bars, taking place every Thursday night from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. until August 31. Establishments will offer one or more appetizers at half the price, $5 drink specials, off-menu dishes and seasonal cocktails. ~ Old City Eats ~
• Movie Nights by Schuylkill Banks ~ July 13 ~ FREE – You will be able to enjoy movies this summer at two different locations. Enjoy food, refreshments, and the company of friends and family while watching some great movies during the summer. • 40th Street Summer Series ~ July 22 ~ FREE – Held at 40th & Walnut Streets from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. 40th Street Summer Series is a free outdoor music series in University City that is family-friendly. Not only will there be the eclectic sounds of jazz, funk, Balkan brass and much more, but many activities and entertainment for both kids and adults such as jugglers, face painting, balloon art, fire artists and more.
